Miami Herald Building Is Historic. Miaimi News' History Kaput...Freedom Tower

I WONDER WHO'S PAYING FREIGHT TO GET MIAMI HERALD BUILDING HISTORIC STATUS?

I labored long in the vineyards of the Miami News which was spawned by the first newspaper EVER in Miami -- the Miami Metropolis.

The Miami News Tower was a landmark and still stands but no one dare speak its real name. Some blackguard nabbed the stately imitation of Spain's architectural fame -- and who among us got to vote to keep the Miami News Tower from becoming the "Freedom" tower? ...a misnomer because the building was hi-jacked to use as a welcome station for Cuban expatriates.
Cuban migration changed a lot about Miami. The Miami Herald housed the Miami News on its 6th floor but the combination was more hysterical than historical.
Give old Miam-uh (those relics from the Halcyon Era) a say in this. If the Herald deserves historical designation -- made its dinero printing El Nuevo Herald And if that isn't complicity...

If buildings could speak, the Herald building would talk out of both sides of its mouth. City solons (so longs?) gave away our News Tower without our permission. Quit interfering in the pay of those who fear casinos will hurt their businesses.

Miami needs jobs. Let the die be cast. Two groups of "haves" are behind do-gooder "shoulds." Views aren't news...
