Let's Hear It For Bette Midler -- Due Back On Great White Way After 30 Years

BROADWAY VETERAN BETTE MIDLER'S BACK AND A NYC SCHUBERT THEATER'S GOT HER! BETTY MIDLER WITH A NEW YORK OPENING APRIL 24 IN "I'LL EAT YOU LAST!"

Now we can all hoot, "She's baaaaaack!" Her vehicle is the starring role in a paean of praise to the famous Hollywood agent Sue Mengers who died two years ago.

Called "A Chat With Sue Mengers," a new one -woman play is just the comeback Bette Midler needs. It has been 30 years since she strutted the Great White Way, the high class name for Broadway.

The word "broad" got a black eye in polite society back then. But all bets were off if you were the toast of Broadway.
Some of Sue Mengers clients included performers like Barbra Streisand, Steve McQueen, Faye Dunaway and Michael Caine.
