Mt. Dora Library's Annual Used Book Sale Joins Arts Festival, 200,000 Gawkers

"ALL IN ALL, IT IS AN INSANE WEEKEND, WITH OVER 200,000 PEOPLE MERGING INTO OUR TOWN'S TWO STREETS," WRITES VALERIE HART, a leading light in central Florida.

President of the Mount Dora Library for nine years, Valerie and Friends of the Library will be setting up over 10,000 books at the Library, beginning tomorrow.

It's a huge effort --"We purchase new books, mainly large print and juvenile -- with the proceeds," Valerie emailed me. We go back a few decades to when she and Buddy lived in Miami. Buddy's dad was famous auctioneer Lester Hart.
