New Prez And Chair Of The Orange Bowl Committee Answers To: "Where Is Hertz?"

As president and GM of the Miami Seaquarium on Key Biscayne, Andrew Hertz has taken a lot of good-natured kidding about his name and plays on it too.

Succeeding O. Ford Gibson, Hertz is the OBC's 75th chief. If you're still counting, maybe this entertainment whiz can even stage a parade of top-grade show-offs. Remember the floats that featured favorite femmes and band units marching up and down Biscayne Boulevard and West Flagler Street?
New Year's Eve has become a peeve in the minds of old-timers whose memories flourished from the intimacy of waving to friends enroute and on site. That "dead" time before New Year's Eve parties commence reveals reels of celluloid that captured the beauties that never wavered from waving
 aboard the gussied-up transits.

At least we've got a football game between two tough stuff teams, marking the 80th anniversary of the Orange Bowl. Earnie Seiler was the genius who hussled lots of Orange Blossom perfume to be steeped into the stadium so that everyone went home with a remembrance that lasted.

Hertz will oversee the third legacy gift project: the restoration of a park in Ives Estates. This follows the establishment of the renovated Carter Park and Moore Park.
