Cookies Made From Cake Mix Come In All Flavors -- Devil's Food Takes The Cake

Pick any kind of cake mix and nudge into fudge bites with devil's food, if you like.

1 box of cake mix (any flavor)
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
up to 1 cup of chopped nuts, candy, chips, raisins, oatmeal, coconut and/or sprinkles

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or grease thoroughly. Combine the dry cake mix, egg, oil and one-quarter cup water until well blended. Add more water if your dough isn't sticking together. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto cookie sheets, add your candies, nuts, fruits, together and press into dough (one-inch balls), insert a whole nut or candy for the center - or even a maraschino cherry.
Leave about two inches between cookies.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until cookies are no longer shiny on top. Start checking at about 8 minutes because so many sweets have sugar that may invite burning. This do-as-you-please recipe makes about four dozen cookies. Each cookie contains about 70 calories, 47% fat.
