"Cleopatra" Starring Elizabeth Taylor And Richard Burton Is Being Re-released Because Moviegoers Are Bored

"Funny Girl" from 1968 is up next. Studio execs have to dig into their vaults for DVD and Blu-Ray releases as disc sales tumble for new movies.
Movies that old usually don't get much eyeing by the youth-obsessed entertainment industry. They are mining their libraries. There's one postproduction artists have been putting the finishing touches on a Blu-Ray release for which the studio has high hopes: 1955's "Rebel Without a Cause" with James Dean.

The reason isn't hard to find. In the past year, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs of "Jaws", "Peter Pan" and a 22-film boxed set celebrating the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise which has whetted the appetites of movie goers as well as industry leaders.

What does this say about entertainment? Young people are bored with what they see in Hollywood's current box office. Maybe they're looking for better productions. There's hope for us all.
