Kate Middleton, By June 13, When She Christens Royal Princess' Newest Ship, Will Be Wearing Hatching Jacket.

Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton before she married her King, will be the godmother of the Royal Princess when it is inaugurated in June, Princess Cruises has announced.

She will appear to be blooming with impending motherhood when she takes part in the ceremony at Southhampton, England. It's a tradition that will also include the blessing, a performance by the Royal Marines Band and the pipers of the Irish Guard.
"We are delighted that the Duchess will launch our new ship and can think of no better way to celebrate our company's British heritage and our commitment to the country," said the line's president, Alan Buckelew.

This will be the third time the name Royal Princess has been given to a Princess ship. The Princess of Wales -- Princess Diana of worldwide fame -- christened the first Royal Princess in 1984.

The 3,600-passenger Royal Princess will be named on June 13, spend the summer in Europe and will move in the fall to the Port of Fort Lauderdale.
