WSJ; OVERHEARD ON THE STREET: PET-ICULAR NOTIONS TO DRIVE ORGANIC INTO POOCH FAIR

Pets are people too? Not really. As companies making dog and cat food strive to deliver offerings made with ingredients like wild rice and berries, Proctor & Gamble is refreshing its lams line and reminding pet owners there is a  limit to the humanization of animal diets.
On its earning call Wednesday, P&G finance chief Jon Moeller said "lams" new packaging will carrying messages "That remind pet owners that their dogs and cat are not vegetarians."

 Apple, having recently given back to Exxon Mobil the crown of world's biggest listed company, has taken another. At $11.46 billion, Apple's new annual dividend payout is no. 1, says Howard Silverblatt of Standard & Poor's, knocking Exxon to second place. Still, the gap is pretty close: Exxon need only add a penny to its quarterly payout to get back on top.
